As a new business owner, it has been such a steep learning curve! While I do feel confident in my design skills, I am now also learning more about the logistics of running my design studio. One of the things I’m constantly thinking about is how to keep design work coming in, which ultimately means getting more traffic to my website. This year my goal is to focus more efforts on my SEO, getting traffic to my website, and growing my blog!
For the past three weeks, I have been reading Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers and have taken on a 30-day challenge to learn more about bringing more traffic to my website. In this post, I’ll tell you a little bit about the book, my takeaways so far, and my goals by the end of the challenge.
About Traffic Secrets
Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers is written by Russell Brunson, the co-founder of ClickFunnels. It is the third book in the trilogy of his business books, but this is the first book I’ve read. I do not think it’s necessary to read the other books first but it does seem like this one builds on some of the previous information. However, I haven’t had any trouble following along with the information!
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me posting frequently about this 30-day challenge! I decided to participate in it to hold myself accountable while reading the book. I really want to learn more strategies to help increase my site traffic, and applying the exercises from this book has really helped me dig deeper. Traffic Secrets is really extensive and goes into so much detail!
What I have learned so far from Traffic Secrets
The overall idea from what I have read so far is the concept of the Dream 100, and how to use your Dream 100 list to get more of your ideal clients to your website. I am only about 20% of the way through this book and have already learned how to research my ideal client and identify where they like to spend their time online. In the later chapters, Brunson goes into more detail about filling your funnel through paid ads, social media platforms (my main one is Instagram), and Google. He also digs into other growth methods, such as cold traffic.
By the end of this challenge, I hope to have solidified my Dream 100 list and create a strategy to start reaching them. So far I have been very impressed with all of the information shared in the book and am looking forward to continuing reading it!
If you are a business with any sort of website, I highly recommend checking out Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers to learn more about funnels and gaining more visitors.
